{"id":862,"date":"2009-03-22T15:59:15","date_gmt":"2009-03-22T07:59:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mattisonthompson.net\/?p=862"},"modified":"2009-04-08T18:50:49","modified_gmt":"2009-04-08T10:50:49","slug":"five-days-of-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mattisonthompson.net\/?p=862","title":{"rendered":"Five days of spring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another vain <em>&#8216;g<\/em><em>ap year blo<\/em><em>g entry&#8217;:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">in a week where the Obama&#8217;s are introducing the idea of a beehive and a new vegetable garden to the White House (copy cats &#8230; I was ranting on about <a href=\"https:\/\/mattisonthompson.net\/?p=787\">my beehive<\/a> and the necessities of bees for our ecosystem way before; speaking of which, the beehive will soon be inhabited &#8230;), I have been out and about admiring nature&#8217;s creations &#8230; Spring has finally sprung, celebrated by the thousands of cherry blossoms all around campus, as well as several different types of camellia &#8230; if I&#8217;d had the time I would have liked to have gone to Tokyo to admire the cherry blossoms in the imperial palace gardens, but been too busy with work&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mattisonthompson.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/dsc00133.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mattisonthompson.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/dsc00133-tm.jpg\" alt=\"DSC00133\" width=\"150\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/mattisonthompson.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/dsc00053.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mattisonthompson.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/dsc00053-tm.jpg\" alt=\"DSC00053\" width=\"150\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cherry trees stand in the sun like brides in their wedding gowns, covered in busy bees collecting nectar for honey and to feed their offspring&#8230; I wonder where they have all come from, seen as I have not yet seen any beekeepers or indeed beehives any where near campus.
