Yes indeed. No bees and no one to walk all over my sandwiches! Unfortunately, we were unable to populate the new beehive this summer as planned. Reason being – the bee colony from which we were meant to get a new bee colony for our beehive from did not separate this year and now that it is way past the summer solstice it looks unlikely that it will. Which means: we we won’t be able to populate the beehive before next spring. Very disappointing.

Oh well, no bees this year … but at least no one will walk all over my sandwiches now!
