Another vain ‘gap year blog entry’:

in a week where the Obama’s are introducing the idea of a beehive and a new vegetable garden to the White House (copy cats … I was ranting on about my beehive and the necessities of bees for our ecosystem way before; speaking of which, the beehive will soon be inhabited …), I have been out and about admiring nature’s creations … Spring has finally sprung, celebrated by the thousands of cherry blossoms all around campus, as well as several different types of camellia … if I’d had the time I would have liked to have gone to Tokyo to admire the cherry blossoms in the imperial palace gardens, but been too busy with work…

The cherry trees stand in the sun like brides in their wedding gowns, covered in busy bees collecting nectar for honey and to feed their offspring… I wonder where they have all come from, seen as I have not yet seen any beekeepers or indeed beehives any where near campus. Also the japanese poppies are out brightening up the place and the eccentric ‘pom pom tree’ is back with its enticing, pungent and heavy scent… someone should make that into a perfume … now here’s an idea… it’s the little things in life …
